The taste of Beira or Caldo Verde soup, Migas à Lagareiro, Carqueja rice, Rancho à Viseu, Roast veal à Lafões, Baked cod or Octopus à Lagareiro, Roast kid, Lamprey rice, Paiva trout, Duck rice, Smoked ham, Regional sausages (morcela, chouriça, farinheira)... will delight connoisseurs.

A wide variety of bread, mixed, barley, cornbread, is available to accompany your meal or to enjoy with some Serra cheese.
Based on old recipes, for dessert you can choose from custard or rice pudding, village style, cottage cheese or bread pudding, Papas de Milho, or a variety of traditional sweets and savouries “that will leave you begging for more” Vouzela pastries, Castanhas de Ovos de Viseu, Patronato de Mangualde bean pastries, Caçoilinhos do Vouga, Beijinhos, Cavacas...

The Dão Demarcated Region, extending for approximately 376,000 hectares, is situated between deeply mountainous zones and valleys with gentle, rounded hills. The climate is cold and wet in winter and hot and dry in summer, providing unique conditions for the production of unequalled wines.

The reds are sparkling, ruby-coloured, full-bodied, with a delicate aroma and flavour. They age with extraordinary grace, acquiring a splendid bouquet, which makes them smooth and velvety.
The whites are light and cool, a lemon-yellow colour, with a smooth aroma and a fruity taste.
